Pattern Matching via Choice Existential Quantifications in Imperative Languages
نویسنده
چکیده
Selection statements – if-then-else, switch and try-catch – are commonly used in modern imperative programming languages. We propose another selection statement called a choice existentially quantified statement. This statement turns out to be quite useful for pattern matching among several merits. Examples will be provided for this statement. keywords: selection, pattern matching, choice quantification, print.

On Pattern-Based Programming towards the Discovery of Frequent Patterns
The problem of frequent pattern discovery is defined as the process of searching for patterns such as sets of features or items that appear in data frequently. Finding such frequent patterns has become an important data mining task because it reveals associations, correlations, and many other interesting relationships hidden in a database. Most of the proposed frequent pattern mining algorithms...

Frequent patterns are patterns such as sets of features or items that appear in data frequently. متن کاملMatching Concept Descriptions with Existential Restrictions
Matching of concepts against patterns is a new inference task in Description Logics, which was originally motivated by applications of the Classic system. Consequently, the work on this problem was until now mostly concerned with sublanguages of the Classic language, which does not allow for existential restrictions. Motivated by an application in chemical process engineering, which requires a ...

This paper extends the existing work on matching in two directions. On the one...
متن کاملExistential Types for Imperative Languages
We integrate existential types into a strongly typed C-like language. In particular, we show how a bad combination of existential types, mutation, and aliasing can cause a subtle violation of type safety. We explore two independent ways to strengthen the type system to restore safety. One restricts the mutation of existential packages. The other restricts the types of aliases of existential pac...
